What would I be doing?

The Cage Cashier attends to the shift’s cash handling needs of the Casino, posts and balances all gaming activity during a designated shift, and servicing guests.

Responsibilities

(These functions are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all inclusive for this position)

  • The Cage Cashier will ensure that all assigned tasks within a shift are completed as required and that all items are balanced at the close of business.
  • Attend to guests needs in order to keep guest satisfaction to its highest degree.
  • The Cage Cashier is responsible for the assets and funds entrusted to the individual for the shift. The cashier performs even exchanges of cash, check cashing, credit/debit advance, chip purchasing, and chip redemptions.
  • Responsible for the final balancing of funds and assets assigned during a shift
  • The Cage Cashier is responsible for confidentiality of company records.
  • Safeguard the assets of the company.
  • The Cage Cashier has the ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills
  • The Cage Cashier has the ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.

What are we looking for?

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis) 

  • Basic understanding of gaming, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to communicate clearly within the department and with guests when addressing their needs.
  • Ability to use equipment such as coin sorters, currency counters, and adding machines.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to work weekends, nights and holidays as required by management.
  • Ability to work in a standing position.
  • Six (6) months casino or one (1) year bank/money handling experience.
  • Strong basic math and verbal skills commensurate with a high school education.
  • Basic computer skills to post information to the data bases 

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):

  • Possession of, and ability to obtain and maintain a valid drivers and gaming license within assigned state of employment and other jurisdictions
  • Must successfully pass background check
  • Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening
  • Must be 21 years of age

 

CUSTOMER SERVICE REQUIREMENT

  • Delivers superior internal and external guest service in Boyd Style.
