What would I be doing?

The Events Coordinator will assist with the planning, implementation and final analysis of special events, promotions and entertainment functions along with providing administrative and operational support to the Casino Marketing Manager to ensure efficient departmental operations and consistency in procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

  • The Events Coordinator will maintain accurate department records and files.
  • Type and distribute department memos and correspondence; ensure effective communication both within the Marketing Department and with other departments.
  • The Events Coordinator will implement, organize and track assigned casino marketing programs.
  • Produce reports, schedules, spreadsheets and documents as assigned.
  • The Events Coordinator will answer questions regarding all events and promotions.
  • Participate in special events and promotions within the Marketing Department as assigned.
  • The Events Coordinator will coordinate entertainment efforts with agencies, personnel and participants in the execution of entertainment and promotional events.
  • Act as liaison to entertainment booking agents, performers and with all outside vendors and suppliers needed to produce entertainment events.
  • The Events Coordinator will arrange for all provisions to execute contractual agreements and artist rider requirements.
  • Perform other designated tasks as assigned to you by management.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in the coordination of special events and entertainment functions.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent with some college preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to give verbal and written reports.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to interact with a wide variety of people.
  • Computer experience required – word processing and spreadsheet programs.
  • Pleasant, outgoing personality.
  • Flexibility with scheduling, including shifts and days off
