Located just east of downtown Kansas City, Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City is a Midwestern entertainment hub that offers something for everyone.  Ameristar has one of the largest casino floors in Missouri, amazing dining venues, a newly renovated luxury hotel and more. Ameristar also offers convenient parking in a five-level, 2,660 space parking structure with an enclosed, climate-controlled walkway to the casino and entertainment center.  Ameristar is seeking a Groundskeeper.  The successful candidate will support the Facilities department by maintaining the grounds at Ameristar Kansas City and performing any other assigned general maintenance tasks.  

Duties and Responsibilities

• Pressure wash outside of casino, decks, entrances to the casino, and other areas as needed and/or as directed


• Clean grounds and remove litter


• Pull all trash from parking lot as needed


• Snow removal as needed and as directed either with equipment or by hand


• Respond to any and all weather related maintenance as needed


• Landscaping activities, some mowing, weeding, some trimming of shrubbery or bushes as directed


• Clean parking areas, both surface lots and parking structure


• Safely operate all Ameristar equipment while performing duties


• Job Tasks must be finished in a timely manner according to department standards


• Adhere to the guest service requirement listed above

• Adhere to department and property policies and procedures.


• This is a uniformed position, which requires that team members are in compliance with uniformed appearance standards while on duty

• Knowledge of general maintenance procedures
